By the end of this month spring will be sprung and so will you be too, sprung that is, from all the frustrating and irritating delays that have been plaguing your professional life since Mars first went retrograde back in December of 2009! In fact, it’s almost as if 2010 is just beginning anew for you right now since your same master planet, Mars, FINALLY flashes forward again on March 10. This major bit of Mars mojo creates an opening and an immediate allowance for your projects and plans to do same. They’ll even begin to build up a head of steam at more than their recent glacial pace. Yes, Scorpio, the ice is thawing, momentum is building and you now feel fueled by ambition, imagination and optimism. Ahhhhhbout flippin’ time too! But since most of those energies don’t actually start to make headway until later in the month, let’s first look at what early March has in store. It looks like you’ll be right at home with the energies on the 7th as Venus and her playmate Mars make all nice together. This astro vibe might make you more flirty and frisky than normal while igniting some pleasure, some play and some fun. And when was the last time you had those three over for dinner? Yeah, right, I know! Enjoy the energies surrounding this innocent and childlike wonder-filled days because it’s back to business as usual when an impatient and edgy vibe fills the ethers on the 10th. You won’t feel quite so cranky as everyone else around since Mars moving forward and out of retrograde on this same day actually translates to freedom for you. This single day now represents a significant and critical turning point for you even though you may not realize the powerful and profound impact for weeks or possibly even months to come. You’ll just have to take my word for it that there are forces at work here and now that will eventually fill your year (and your world) with activities and ideas that are both exciting and opportunistic! Just stay optimistic and enthused no matter who or what might try to throw you off that path. Especially when Venus and Pluto square off against each other on the 11th. Remember that Venus rules both love and money so don’t be surprised to see some irritating circumstances arise that involve both those very things as these cranky energies unfold. Keep a cook head and an even disposition. And do remember that there’s no such thing as blame or shame or guilt. Especially blame. That’s a game NOBODY will win. Clearer conversations take place once mercury and Mars have a green beer together on St. Paddy’s Day. In fact the beer’s not the only flowing on this find day as you will find your efficiency and ideas are both doing same. Now, I will say that Saturn sticks his nose in where it doesn’t belong on the 18th but if you just play nice on that same day and don’t get pulled into the power struggle or the drama then everything should turn out just fine. You’re going to find that a lot of how your month goes will be predicated on how much you are willing to compromise with compassion and grace. But, then, as previously mentioned, once spring has sprung and the equinox has occurred on the 21st, well, all blaming bets are off where the gloves should be too. The Sun is shining, Mars is moving forward and all’s right with your world. Your words are so powerful this month that you literally could part the Red Sea if you tried. Remember that and use them all very wisely. And affirmatively. I mean that last part literally. A compromising Full Moon that rises on the 29th encourages you to follow suit as this moon’s conjunction with stinky Saturn might bring some trust issues to light. Put up your dukes and fight for what you want but just do that fairly and squarely and everything else will turn out just fine. You are heading into exciting times and with all your new ideas and activities but you need to remember that none of us gets there alone. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer and soon enough your enthusiasm and your opportunities will skyrocket. I swear all your systems are on go. Hang on Sag, all of those feelings of discouragement and delay are about to come to an end. And they’ll do that this month. Of all the astrological signs, it does appear as if you have been the one most raring to go once this New Year began. And ‘GO!’ you will, I promise, just as soon as aggressive warrior Mars makes some forward headway by coming out of retrograde on March 10. But I have to say this, even though I know you have had to put some really ambitious and action packed plans on hold since last December they may have to wait just a wee and little bit longer so you can assess and address energies on the home front first. See, with five planets packed into your 4th House of Home and Family early in March, you would be wise to invest time and talents addressing domestic details before putting all your energies towards your pending prosperity and success. Charity begins at home this month, and if you follow that planetary lead, well a whole lot of faith and hope will most assuredly and immediately follow. Venus starts off an explosive month by dedicating her energies towards activating your dearest desires when she joins with electric Uranus on March 3 in trying to find some suitable forum for them. Since all this input is occurring in your 4th House of Home and Family you are a bit recalcitrant to rock that boat or think outside that box. I’m here to tell that you go ahead and do both. Rock and roll however and wherever your heart desires. Don’t give any thought or energy to fearing rejection now since that’s just a big waste or your precious time. Rather, embrace the unorthodox during these early days. On March 7 Venus again brightens your personal picture when she collides with her consort Mars in your 5th House of True Love. Oh la love! You are hot, hot, hot so it might just be okay when taskmaster Saturn stops by on the 11th to throw a cold blanket on your Sag sizzle. Listen with Mars finally moving forward at that same time and a fantastic (as in fantasy heavy) New Moon rising on the 15th you’ll find your dreams and your waking reality both fueled by potential and possibilities. Galore. Spring comes calling on the 21st and bringing with it an extra added bit of adrenaline where your hopes and dreams are concerned. Deja doing the same thing over and over again. Isn’t that a little bit what you’ve been feeling like these last few days and even weeks? Blame it on the Mars retrograde that stays stuck in stall force for another six weeks or until March 10 rolls around. If it all feels like you’ve been here/done this all before, well, it’s because you have. Specifically, you are now taking a trip down memory lane that lands you at last Autumn when aggressive Mars first entered the always trying to steal your spotlight Leo. Your love life is lackluster and you’re getting way tired of trying to keep up a façade that you’ve decidedly outworn, outlasted and out played. Hold on just a bitty bit longer Aries because as soon as some of the last shards of a certain long-lasting relationship get swept up and put into the bin, that clean slate you’ve been longing for will finally find it’s way to your door! Whatever you do, don’t lose patience with your grand goals and lofty dreams. Especially where love is concerned. Holding this vision should be a good bit easier in the early going when ever expanding Jupiter opens up in your 12th House of Secrets and allows you a glimpse into the future. This is both when and where you will finally feel all those relationship restrictions lifting, lifting, lifting. Ahhhhhh, that’s better. This is when Venus’s move into spiritual, sympathetic and compassionate Pisces all but pushes you towards those same seemingly unattainable goals. Pretty frustrating, I know. Now, I should say that there is a choice to be made mid-month where all of these energies are concerned. You can choose to get frustrated that the seeming unreachable dreams you have will never come true. OR you can practice patience and believe me when I say you are closer to maifesting than you could ever imagine. The fact is, as with everything in life, you have to give your transformation a little kick start to show the Universe how serious you are. And I don’t mean with a new pair of Manolos either. I mean that it can be quite lovely to lose yourself in fantastic fantasies, but, it’s only when you take proactive steps and do something definite towards reaching your goals that they then can qualify as intentions. Ones that you can now actually create. Steady as she goes, especially when the Sun shifts into Pisces on the 18th and quincunxes Mars on the 20th. Even with all that shining Sun around, these days feel cloudy. Keep an umbrella handy. Now, once Mercury reaches out and whispers sweet nothings to Neptune on the 27th, you sense of empowerment, enthusiasm and optimism about what your future holds all begins to ignite once again. You are on fire! And fanning those flames is the Sun conjuncting Jupiter and then combining with a powerful Full Moon on the 28th all meeting to make sure you know that you can have ANYTHING you want, as long as you take a stand and then take appropriate steps. Wait, let me say that again: after a somewhat frustrating month of two steps forward and one step back, as February comes to a close you will find yourself propelled into the place of your previous dreams as long as you do something/anything proactive to get there. There is no quick fix or spot reducing that can be done in the here and now Aries, especially where your love life and all energies accorded same are concerned. It just is what it is and you need to wait for Mars to come out of retrograde before seeing your wildest dreams and desires start to come true. Now that doesn’t mean we can’t start prepping because as we both know, if we build it they will come. Literally and figuratively. Hang a double-happiness symbol in the bedroom either over the headboard of your bed or on the wall that represents the ‘Romance’ area of that same room. Displaying this symbol in that way will help ensure that an existing relationship gets much, well, happier, while also promising to invite another into your life if there is no one there at present. The DOUBLE HAPPINESS calligraphy is simply the perfect symbol to call in the perfect partner. Now, do I need to say that twice?

It’s time to take off those dark winter shades and replace them with some sprightly spring rose colored glasses, even if you don’t have a clue what you did with them last. Inspiration is the name of the game this month as it’s the first time in 2010 that you feel like you can actually have a more fulfilling future than the one you previously thought was earmarked only for you. There are hidden gems in this month of February that will make it sparkle and glow all the while allowing you to let an old fantasy fade away while making up brand new ones that you now know certainly can come true. Cooperation, compassion and colleagues all align (as do most of the planets in the sky) to bring you a big burst of motivation and stimulation in this second glorious month of a pretty good year. Now, don’t give a second thought to those frustrating power struggles that seem to be taking place everywhere you look at the tip top of this month. That’s just due to a wobbly Venus projecting some shaky energies around the 2nd. Rather, focus on what could arguably be called the most sensational and spectacular day of the year, February 6 when Venus and Chiron and Neptune all join forces to crack open your heart while pouring healing salve and balm all over that very aperture. They touch your spirit and open your heart and heal all your soul. All at the same time! Nice! And it’s not even Valentine’s Day yet! And, yet, the love is all around. Magical moments with family, friends and even business colleagues give you the goosebumps while lining all your ducks up in a neat little row. Make the most of these delightful days as they promise to make the most of you. And, speaking of Valentine’s Day, well, let’s don’t. After such an exaggeratedly great time on the 6th, 7th and 8th, it’s almost anti-climatic when Venus and Saturn start something they can’t finish on the 13th and 14th. Push through the pettiness and pull yourself away from all the drama! Your relationships don’t need a total renovation but perhaps a bit of regeneration won’t hurt? Try to err on the side of caution and don’t get caught up in having to be right! That’s just wrong. Things aren’t that much better on the love front when Venus and Mars have a spat on the 24th. This is the kind of atmosphere that can promote pouting while producing uncomfortable feelings and jangled nerves and vibes. Follow your instincts and your intuition. One of my favorite movies of all time is the recent Streep send up of Anna Wintour with her tour-de-force performance in the ‘The Devil Wears Prada.’ There’s a line in that movie that I constantly take liberties with, especially when addressing my very slow-moving teenage son. It goes like this: “By all means, move at a glacial pace, you know how much that thrills me.” Well, when I looked at your energies for this fab month of Feb, that’s the first thing that popped to mind; how slowly your year has started and how much you wish you push it further, faster. I know that you KNOW that you are in the middle of a HUGE and powerfully positive period of transformation but all the finagling with the financial struggle coupled with constant annoying irritations can kind of take the sheen off some shiny astrologically scheduled turn of events. Now, ALL that said, the month of February does promise to prance and preen and bring you all sorts of solid and happy circumstances so don’t be discouraged. In fact, take to heart that last statement as if you were lying a few feet away from an iceberg while watching the sinking Titanic and then I come along and throw you a life vest so I could pull you to another, bigger and better luxury liner. Because, I swear and promise Gemini, that’s where you are headed. To bigger and better. And luxury. Underlined. It’s just taking awhile to get there. So, then, what’s a slightly impatient and somewhat strapped trooper to do? Hold you chin up, whistle a happy tune and smile, child, smile. Because the dilly of a day that I’m referring to is just around the corner. And, guess what? You can hasten the arrival of all of the excellent if you just promise turn that frown upside down and think Pollyanna! Seriously, a positive attitude and optimistic outlook will do more now to build that budding and tremendous blueprint of your burgeoning life then a sour dumpling sense of futility will. If you go around all “woe is me” pretty soon woe IS you. BUT, if you adopt the attitude that this phase is just a temporary architectural anomaly and slight stall to moving into the life you were born to live, then, by all means, you’ll be inside that same luxurious life faster than you can say, “nana nana boo boo!” The month starts out nice enough with generous Jupiter expanding the energies in your 10th House of Fame and Honors on the 5th and 6th. Believe in the gift of the present and believe in you during these two stellar days. Trust your intuition, act on your instincts and grab the recognition and reward that the Universe has planned for you. Now, that aforementioned Pollyanna pleasing attitude and efforts towards keeping a positive mental agenda will be called into play mid-month when a shaky Mars – Pluto quincunx throws you off your game while bringing you off balance at the same time. Don’t second guess your gut, just follow your hunches and it will be alright. The Aquarius New Moon on the 13th give your respite and reprieve from all that self-doubt and helps you to keep your head on straight even if the rest of you is still a little wobbly from Mars and Mercury conspiring to create possible disagreements between you and others you thought you could trust. But, just when you think it’s time to resign to the status quo something sweet comes along that allows you to glimpse, yet again, a fabulous future getting all set to play out on the stage of your life. Go ahead and tilt at windmills or be a bit bolder and dream the impossible dream because what you’re going to find out this month is that dream might not be as impossible as you once thought. In fact, that dream will be more real than you would have ever imagined if you just go ahead and remember to explore and investigate and then USE yours; imagination that is! Place an imaginary television screen over your head and then put a smaller one in the lower right hand corner of that one. In the big screen visualize your life as it is right this very moment. Inside the smaller screen paint a picture of your life as you would like it to look. Now, inhale one big breath until if fills your belly. Making the image of the big screen a bit blurry, blow that breath into the smaller screen with the ideal life sitting there. Breathe that dream awake! Do this four times in a row. Well, you better get keep some aloe handy Cancer because your ears are both about to exponentially sizzle when a perfect planetary party burns away some of your GIGANTIC and restrictive, limiting trust issues. I swear, you have to trust me here, even though you have a powerful penchant not to trust anybody. There is an extraordinary healing conjunction coming when Neptune and Chiron meet on the 17th of this month, bringing dissolution to your chronic issues of distrust while at same time opening doors to intimacy that you never dreamed imaginable. The fact is though that you won’t have to imagine any of this because this shift is going to happen no matter your readiness or your response. Until that life-altering date and even after it, you’ll need to become a chiropractor of sorts since constant and quick adjustments will need to be made and maintained in order for you to stay steady on your feet and on your path. Called the ‘dean of science fiction writers,’ the author Robert Heinlein once said; “Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.” Well, he could have been writing about your own energies this month Leo since this month, so associated and draped in all things love, will openly show you how you can indeed maintain a strong sense of self and identity while also maintaining the ability to go for and get whatever it is you want in life. Especially love. But you’ll also find that you can’t get to any of those aforementioned places all by your lonesome. Look, as uncomfortable as it might be to open yourself up and be vulnerable to the vagaries of life, sometimes it’s a necessary evil in order to get to all the creamy goodness that waits on the other side. And sometimes, just sometimes, you have to admit and apologize for the past before you can move into a fabulous future. This is THAT month. Your energies in February predict and predicate success soon coming your way, so, for that reason, I am going to advise that you download an image of something called ‘The Banner of Victory’ and hang that somewhere in the ‘Fame’ area of your main floor. This ‘Banner of Victory’ symbolizes that very thing, success, in all of your endeavors. Sometimes it is depicted as a long flag similar to those employed by ancient Eastern armies as it was believed to bring an elevation in rank, on every conceivable level. If you read my daily blog posts on my website you know that I often talk about one of my most revered teachers Hilda Charlton. Hilda used to teach that whenever we were facing any issues, events or agendas that made us either nervous or even frightened, we should visualize holding a white flag and then flicking it out in front of us before riding into battle. This is what Joan d’ Arc did whenever she faced the enemy. She carried a long white banner that signified victory and success and just before she entered the battlefield she would unfurl it and ride with it waving success in the wind.
