Pisces, January 2010
Your Stars:
So, let’s take a moment to review. Last year it was Aquarius who was the sign that saw Jupiter come and set a spell. And we know that when Jupiter comes a calling he promises to bring with him all kinds of great fortune and piles and piles of good luck. Except that those Aquarians all sort of got gypped when Jupiter went into retrograde motion for a large part of the year. Now, Jupiter has decided to set up house with you Pisces, for the better part of 2010, and you’ll see no such tomfoolery like those Water Bearers did last year. In fact, you’re about to experience a positive and powerful expansion of your Universe (once those two retrograding M & Ms get out of your way that is.) See, with Mercury the Messenger as well as aggressive warrior Mars both in retrograde motions until further notice, you may think that your year is starting out same old/same old. But nothing could be further from your new truth! And because Mars will be moving in and out of your 6th House of Work (and daily routines) until early March, you may also feel like the same old/same old is somewhat more frustrating than it usually is. Take my word, it’s not. Then we have communicative Mercury backtracking in your 11th House of Hopes and Wishes and Dreams causing you to rethink some of those precious things as well. Okay, so we can get all frustrated and say that the start of the year feels like you are moving in reverse OR we can realize that those two aforementioned planets are doing exactly that and then vow to take the time to revivify, review and revise our most dearly held desires and dreams. Because Pisces, like I said before, when Jupiter comes calling on your sign, later this month, for the first time in twelve long years, he’ll be packing some mighty fine hostess gifts. And, Pisces, because 2010 is THE year of you achieving and reaching some true and dear goals and dreams. Maybe not right out of the gate, but, not too very long afterward. Speaking of right out of the gate, you are both inspired and motivated on the first day of the New Year and feel like you can fly. Just be sure that this boundless confidence doesn’t make mincemeat of your common sense and you should be just fine. There IS magic in the air early in January and you are perfectly right to try and capture some of it in a bottle. Just know that the lightning you hold in your hand can create an electrical charge that can jolt or shock is all. With Venus hooking up with dreamy Neptune on the 2ns, romance and fantasy should go hand in hand with one of yours. Watch as the month unfolds as a friendship or important relationship can as well. With retrograde Mercury forming a confusing and chaotic semisquare with nebulous Neptune on the 8th, misunderstanding can be blown out of proportion and communications can be blurry. Oh just have a cocktail together and make your eyes the only thing that gets to hold that adjective. These are days to listen to your instincts, trust your intuition and your gut. And if you do, your hunches will affirm that there was nothing really to be so upset about anyway. It was just you feeling anticipatory and antsy awaiting the impending arrival of mack daddy Jupiter on the 17th. But even before he rings your bell, the powerful New Moon eclipse and Mercury moving forward on the 15th both set a stage of enthusiasm, unmitigated optimism and hope! Lots and lots of hopelah happening mid-month, I can tell you that! You are filled with compassion on the 18th when loving Venus blows a kiss to your 12th House of the Subsconcious sending a soft signal that now is the time to regenerate body, mind and spirit. With the Sun entering your sign on the 19th, this is exactly the kind of worthy, life affirming experience you can expect. Nurture your nature and let the planets restore your faith in, well, everything! You will come out of the middle of this month feeling divine. With a stronger connection to that same place too! And when the two consorts of the Zodiac, Venus and Mars, start flirting like crazy on the 27th, you should take a page out of their rule book and start breaking a few. Rules that is. Flirt. Flirt. Flirt away Pisces as this fits perfectly with that aforementioned opposition. Don’t worry that the Sun-Uranus semisquare on the 28th might make it hard to ground burgeoning and beautiful connections with others, independence is always more comfortable for you than clingons anyway, so, no harm / no foul. Now, that said, being distant and aloof at the exact end of the month is just the ticket anyway while there’s a planetary pissing match going on between Mars and the Sun and then the provocative Full Moon tries to get involved on the 30th….just ignore it all and go about your dreams. This Full Moon in Leo, rather than inviting you to get involved in any old power struggles can offer you energies to recognize and then begin to develop a talent that will eventually (this year!) enrich your entire life. You are in the catbird seat as January comes to a close because you now have Jupiter watching your back. It’s your job to watch the front and keep advancing towards long held hopes, wishes and dreams. That trio will be at your disposal during this transitional and transformational year. You can go the distance, I know you can. And so do you.
Your Shui:
Ahhhhh, January 17th, where you been all my life? That’s the day that bountiful Jupiter takes up residence in your sign bringing with him all the potential, luck, fortune, opportunity and abundance that this planet is heralded for. Look, you can wait for Jupiter to open his cases and start unpacking or you can nudge those efforts along a big bit. Let’s do the latter so you can start seeking opportunities as soon as this New Year begins and then follow through on all the other blockbuster ones that follow. Find any sort of bowl or vase or receptacle that has a shallow base, a wider body and then back to a shallow mouth. The body of the bowl must be wider than the mouth as this symbolizes accumulating precious and lucky energies. Put nine smooth, round and small stones inside the bowl and fill it three-quarters of the way with fresh or spring water. Next add in a green leaf. Take the vase or bowl outside and expose it to the sky/sun for a few moments. Now, place the bowl either under your bed or on your nightstand or even on your desk. For nine mornings straight change the water in the bowl and add a fresh or new green leaf (of course, I would begin this cure on either the 15th or that lucky January 17!) Take the bowl outside each day and expose it briefly to the sky before returning it to it’s place under the bed or on the nightstand. After doing this for nine consecutive days, return the stones to the earth and know that you have just strengthened and stabilized your life, your relationships and your career in a completely magical and extraordinarily powerful way. If you’d like you can leave the vase under your bed until another time when you feel the need to bring power and magic to your life. Believe me, with the 2010 that the Universe has planned for you, this is as good as it gets where preparation is concerned. Preparing with power for an extraordinary year ahead. Yup, that sounds just about right.
